NEMA Plug vs Hardwired Installation

NEMA 14-50 Plug
If you already have a 240V outlet, this is the easiest path forward. It’s quick to install and gives you flexibility if you ever need to relocate the charger. The tradeoff is power. Plug-in installations are typically limited to 40A.
Hardwired Installation
If you’re thinking long-term, this is the better option. Hardwiring allows the charger to deliver up to 48A, giving you faster charging and a more stable connection. It’s a permanent solution, and it should always be installed by a licensed electrician.

GFCI Breakers and Why They Matter
